Wednesday 6th July 2016,   5.30-7.30pm
Old Market Assembly,  25 West Street,  Old Market,  Bristol,  BS2 0DF
Map and how to get there

We’re officially launching the map and mobile app at Bristol Pride Day on Saturday 9th July. Before that we’re hosting a sneak preview – a private view – to celebrate the project and allow you to explore and contribute to the map before anyone else.

Do you have photos, documents, objects or stories of relevance to Bristol’s LGBT+ past? Bring them along!
We’ll have a mobile digitisation station set up so you can create high quality copies of your memorabilia and upload it to the map.

If you just want to play, we’ll have the map displayed on a big screen and have tablets and devices pre-loaded so you can explore the content. And of course the team will be on hand to chat about the project.

Drinks and nibbles will be available for those that arrive early.

This event is free but places are limited – please book via Eventbrite.

*  Since October 2015, OutStories Bristol, University of Bristol, Bristol Record Office and Bristol City Council have been working together to create an LGBT+ history map layer on the Council’s interactive Know Your Place site. We’ve also been working on embedding this map on OutStories’ own website and on a custom mobile app that will allow users to explore the map on the move.
